Attorney - Employment and Labor Relations

About the role

Taft is seeking a team-oriented senior associate, of counsel, or junior partner to join its Employment and Labor Relations practice group. The position is fully remote, but the candidate must reside in central California (Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, San Luis Obispo County, Santa Barbara County, Ventura County).

Responsibilities

• Defend employers in wage-and-hour litigation, including class and collective actions, Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) lawsuits, and single-plaintiff claims
• Manage matters through all stages of litigation, including written discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, mediation, and trial preparation
• Work closely with Taft's Phoenix employment team
• Service the team's existing client work

Qualifications

• Significant experience defending employers in wage-and-hour litigation
• Strong research and writing skills
• Experience managing matters through all stages of litigation
• Sufficient availability to service the team's existing client work
• Must reside in central California (Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, San Luis Obispo County, Santa Barbara County, Ventura County)
