Attorney - Civil Litigation

Hall & Evans, LLC, one of Colorado's oldest and most reputable trial firms, is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join our team as a Generalist in Downtown Denver. This role offers the opportunity to work with talented legal professionals in a collegial, business-casual environment while gaining immediate experience in client interaction, depositions, court appearances, and business development.

About the Role

Upon successful completion of training, this position may allow for a hybrid working schedule, with three days spent in the office and two days working remotely from home.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing and meeting with client representatives
• Direct experience and interaction with insurance claims representatives, including reporting, case assessment, evaluation, and strategy
• Handling own files and matters
• Taking and defending fact and expert depositions
• Expert engagement and preparation, including expert disclosures and reporting
• Managing all facets of pre-trial discovery and preparation
• Drafting and arguing pre-trial motions
• Handling large document production and database matters
• First-chair mediation experience (preferred)
• Delegating work to paralegals
• First-chair trial or arbitration experience (preferred)
• Experience with schedule and payment claims (preferred)
• Marketing and business development
• Drafting publications, articles, or legal presentations (preferred)

Requirements

• Currently licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado (required)
• Civil litigation experience (preferred)
• Strong work ethic and proven case management skills
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Exceptional research and writing skills
• Ability to travel
• Competent computer skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook

Pay

$100,000 - $187,500 annually, commensurate with experience.
