ATSU - Environmental Service Worker (SLO)

Job Type Full-time Description The Environmental Service Worker is San Luis Obispo, California, is responsible for the general cleaning of interior building areas that include but are not limited to classrooms, restrooms, offices, public spaces, entry ways, patient care facilities, lobbies, conference rooms, study rooms, and research and simulation labs. This position is also responsible for the exterior entrances to building areas to include but are not limited to emptying trash receptacles, cleaning sidewalks, and cleaning lobby door entrances. Additionally, the position will assist in special event setups/teardowns that may include occasional night and weekend coverage. Duties & Responsibilities Clean designated interior of building areas including but not limited to dusting / wiping down surfaces, sinks, counter tops, desks, chairs, windows, fixtures, and ledges.Detail clean restroomsClean hard surface and carpet floors.Empty trash and recycling receptacles.Re-stock supply carts, closets, and designated areas.Move and set up furniture.Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Requirements"> Skills & Experience Ability to move around freely in a building, including navigating stairs and ramps, is important. Ability to use hand tools and equipment safely and effectively. Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions from supervisors. Ability to work independently and take the initiative to complete tasks without constant supervision is often required. Ability to adapt to changes in work assignments and priorities is essential. Ability to identify and solve problems related to cleanliness and safety. There are 3 positions available: 1 Day Shift (7 a.m. - 4 p.m.) and 2 Night shift approximate hours (3 p.m. - 1 a.m.) The pay rate for this position is starts at $21.52 per hour based on experience and education.
