ATSU - Environmental Service Worker (Full-Time Janitorial)
A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a full-time non-exempt Environmental Service Worker on the Mesa, Arizona campus.
About the role
The Environmental Services Worker is responsible for the general cleaning of interior building areas that include but are not limited to classrooms, restrooms, offices, public spaces, entryways, patient care facilities, lobbies, conference rooms, study rooms, and research and simulation labs. This position also handles exterior entrances, including emptying trash receptacles, cleaning sidewalks, and maintaining lobby door entrances. Additionally, the role assists in special event setups and teardowns, which may require occasional night and weekend coverage.
Responsibilities
- Clean designated interior building areas, including dusting/wiping down surfaces, sinks, countertops, desks, chairs, windows, fixtures, and ledges.
- Detail clean restrooms.
- Clean hard surfaces and carpet floors.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles.
- Re-stock supply carts, closets, and designated areas.
- Move and set up furniture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to move around freely in a building, including navigating stairs and ramps.
- Ability to use hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions from supervisors.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks without constant supervision.
- Ability to adapt to changes in work assignments and priorities.
- Ability to identify and solve problems related to cleanliness and safety.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience.
