About the role

You will be responsible for bringing forward innovative solutions that yield efficiency and productivity to the atomization business as it relates to product yield, gas use, equipment downtime, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and test solutions, then work with plant engineering to execute challenging projects.
  • Develop contingency actions and provide technical leadership to resolve production-related issues with metallic atomization equipment, both internally and externally.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to identify and address safety, quality, and productivity issues, implementing corrective actions to improve key performance indicators.
  • Bring forward innovative 3D printed solutions to the Atomization and surrounding businesses to solve challenges and increase productivity by partnering with the 3D additive print lab.
  • Maintain working knowledge of atomization-related equipment, test and design experience, and project management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of working knowledge in Atomization and Engineering departments.
  • Experience with vacuum induction gas atomization, including associated equipment repair and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment, including handling fine powders.
  • Working knowledge of equipment instrumentation, programmable logic controllers, gas structure, and design.
  • Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing).
  • Proven effectiveness in leading people and project management.
  • Demonstrated track record of innovative thinking and technical accomplishments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or otherwise classifiable as a U.S. person under relevant export control regulations.
