About the role
The role involves conducting/overseeing the overhaul, maintenance, and repair of airframe components, powerplants, aircraft communication equipment and associated components at remote locations. Maintenance Representatives must sign for work accomplished, oversee other non-ATI individuals/contractors, and ensure the safety of the aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overhaul, maintenance, and repair of airframe components, powerplants, aircraft communication equipment and associated components in accordance with Company manuals, manufacturer’s manuals, including policies, Procedures Bulletins and Orders.
- Safeguard the aircraft while at remote sites and ensure all work is done in compliance with FAA and Company procedures.
- Be alert for defective, worn, or failed parts and unsafe working conditions, and report them to the flight crew.
- Ensure the assigned Spares Parts Kit (SPK) is fully stocked and that required materials and parts are available to support the mission.
- Work with Company hired agents to procure maintenance services and support, and act as Company agent if necessary.
- Keep Maintenance Control informed of the aircraft's status and provide copies of completed log pages.
- Perform housekeeping duties to keep the assigned aircraft clean and presentable.
- Assume the duties, responsibilities, and authority of the Maintenance Supervisor when mechanics are utilized.
- Attend all Company training classes as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years, proven line maintenance experience on 767/757 aircraft.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successfully complete a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check.
- Ability to clearly communicate with customers and co-workers; stand, bend, and reach in order to maintain files; sit for extended periods of time; and comply with ATI attendance requirements.
- Hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant license (FAR 121.378a).
- Hold a valid passport and Driver’s License.
- Ability to travel as the needs of the airline dictate (may require travel up to 3 weeks per month).
Preferred
- B 757/767 aircraft; Parts 121, 125, 145; Heavy transport category aircraft experience.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb up to 3 flights of stairs.
- Able to work at heights up to 80 feet and from ladders up to 10 feet.
Skills
- Clear communication skills.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to different environments.
