Job Summary/Basic Function: Weber State University seeks a qualified applicant for the position of Athletics Compliance Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the complimentary ticket process for student-athletes and recruits
• Assisting in monitoring of NCAA Division I bylaw 12, including Name, Image, and Likeness issues
• Assisting in the monitoring of NCAA Division I bylaw 13 recruiting rules
• Assisting in the monitoring of NCAA Division I bylaw 17 playing and practice seasons rules
• Reviewing required student-athlete forms
• Aiding in the submission of waivers to the NCAA or Big Sky Conference
• Aiding in rules education efforts
• Processing transfer tracer forms for prospective student-athletes transferring from four-year and two-year colleges
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Enrolled as a degree-seeking student at Weber State
• High ethical standards, extreme attention to detail, integrity, and a willingness to exhibit a strict adherence to NCAA, Big Sky Conference, and Weber State University rules and regulations
• Effective communication through oral, written, and electronic forms
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Ability to take initiative, complete time-sensitive tasks, maintain confidential information, and multitask
• Attention to detail
• Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends
• Successful completion of a background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference given to students in graduate programs
• Knowledge of NCAA Division I bylaws
• Experience with job-related software such as NCAA applications, Teamworks video editing software, Microsoft Office/Google Apps suite
