Athletic Trainer Technician

Join our team and empower athletes, promote wellness, and make an impact! We’re looking for a motivated professional to provide top-notch care, injury prevention, and rehabilitation services in the heart of the Rocky Mountains at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC).

About the Role

Work in a dynamic environment alongside athletes, coaches, and healthcare professionals. Be at the forefront of injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for athletes of all levels while collaborating with a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision (within line of sight of a Certified Athletic Trainer), assist with:
    • Taping, pre- and post-practice treatments
    • Therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation programs
    • Practice and competition coverage
    • First aid
    • Completion of Sports Medicine Practical Skills and proficiencies
  • Under indirect supervision (Certified Athletic Trainer must be on-duty and reachable by phone), support with:
    • Setting up facilities for daily practice, conditioning, and competitions
    • Distributing water, athletic training supplies, and emergency equipment
    • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of athletic training rooms
    • Performing and assisting with administrative duties
  • Other duties related to the healthcare of student athletes as defined by the Athletic Training staff

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with athletes and teams
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for promoting health and empowering athletes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject or Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree with a major in athletic training from an accredited program
  • Completion of minimum required hours of supervised clinical experience or internship in athletic training
  • Eligibility to take the Board of Certification exam
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Clear and valid Colorado Driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance coverage
