Athletic Trainer - Full-Time
Job Summary
Responsible for delivery of Athletic Training Care in accordance with NATA (National Athletic Trainer's Association) standards as well as Tennessee and/or Georgia Athletic Training Practice Acts. Standard responsibilities include: prevention, evaluation, treatment and referral of athletic related injuries. Work settings include one or more of the following: High School Outreach settings and College settings. This position is involved in a team-based approach to care. Team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role as per the State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to coordinate care for patients and is trained and assigned to support patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to manage the practices' patient population. Participates in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or related field
- Master's Degree in Athletic Training or related field preferred
- Two years of experience in clinical/collegiate/outreach settings
- NATA Membership
- BOC Certification
- Current license or temporary license to practice in the state of TN or GA
- CPR certification in accordance with respective institutions and Erlanger Policy
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the principals of growth and development over the life span
- Able to assess data reflective of the athlete's status and interpret the appropriate information
Skills
- Prevention, evaluation, treatment, and referral of athletic related injuries
- First aid
- Taping, strapping, bracing, and fitting of athletic equipment
- Prescribed treatments and recommendations by the team/program/event physician
- Maintain NATA and CPR certification
- Cover assigned pre-season physicals, sports games or matches, and related events under the supervision of the program manager
