Athletic Trainer (ATC) - Sports Medicine/Orthopedics

Role Overview

Assess, evaluate, and treat patients of all ages in a clinical setting. Serve as a professional role model and clinical resource for providers, staff, residents, and students.

Responsibilities

• Performing physical and developmental assessments, documenting evaluations, and updating plans of care based on patient response.
• Providing emergency care, including CPR, and delivering physical care following medical directives.
• Designing, implementing, and revising treatment plans; instructing athletes and families on treatment and self-management.
• Assessing patient compliance and outcomes; maintaining accurate documentation within scope of practice.
• Monitoring athlete responses, providing athletic training services to schools and events, and staying current with medical practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed Athletic Trainer (AT) in Illinois, BLS certification, and BOC certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
• Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and emergency response skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
