Athletic Trainer (ATC) - Ortho/Sports Med

About the Role

Responsible for providing patient care through assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical evaluation, following established standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in coordinating patient care, including obtaining patient histories, vital signs, and assessments.
• Prepare exam rooms, obtain patient consent, and support office procedures such as injections, sutures, and cast applications.
• Provide patient education, fit DME items, and ensure proper documentation and communication of instructions.
• Coordinate lab, imaging, and therapy orders, and manage sterilization, inventory, and safety protocols.
• Train staff on rooming, DME fitting, and procedural tasks, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards.
• Maintain supplies, handle biohazard waste, and ensure equipment readiness.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (various recognized certifications) or equivalent education (H.S. Diploma/GED).
• Experience with medical terminology and patient care procedures.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety and confidentiality policies.
