About the role
We are seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide hands-on patient care in an Orthopedic Clinic and deliver sports medicine coverage at community events and contracted schools.
The role involves supporting a walk-in clinic, developing and implementing rehabilitation programs, and assisting with procedures such as casting, splinting, wound care, and injury treatment. The trainer will educate patients, coordinate care with healthcare providers, and maintain equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on patient care in an orthopedic clinic setting
- Deliver sports medicine coverage at community events and contracted schools
- Support a walk-in clinic environment
- Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for patients
- Assist with medical procedures including casting, splinting, wound care, and injury treatment
- Educate patients on injury prevention, recovery, and health maintenance
- Coordinate care with other healthcare providers
- Maintain and manage medical equipment
Requirements
- Current licensure as an Athletic Trainer
- National certification as an Athletic Trainer
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Physical ability to assist with patient transfers
- Ability to operate medical equipment
- Capability to perform manual tasks related to patient care
