Schedule
Primarily day/evening shifts. Position follows a 10-month academic school year (approximately mid-August to mid-June) with an additional two months (approximately mid-June to mid-August) dedicated to outpatient clinical services.
Pay
Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
Responsibilities
- Prevent, evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate injuries sustained by student athletes.
- Assist coaches in developing and presenting first aid training and implementation.
- Provide instruction to athletes on injury prevention.
- Assist in outpatient clinical services under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation and the Orthopedic Physician Assistant, addressing pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in sports medicine and injury evaluation.
Requirements
- Graduation from a regionally accredited New York State registered college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training.
- Possession of a current and valid Athletic Trainer’s Certificate from the National Athletic Trainers Board of Certification (NATABOC), or completion of a comparable course of study, or an active NYS Registration Certificate to practice as an Athletic Trainer.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
