About the role

Reporting to the AT Manager, the Associate Athletic Trainer will collaborate with medical professionals, Athletic Directors, coaches, and athletes to assess medical conditions and develop goal-oriented plans. Responsibilities span prevention, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, reconditioning, organization, administration, and professional responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Apply protective or injury-preventive devices such as tape, bandages, and braces.
• Recognize and evaluate injuries at assigned locations and provide first aid or emergency care.
• Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
• Plan and execute comprehensive injury-prevention programs.
• Perform administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate injury records and writing reports following company documentation protocols.
• Maintain communication with internal and external partners regarding athlete progress and Athletico services for continuum of care.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an Accredited CAATE Program.
• BOC Certified.
• Licensed and/or registered in accordance with state regulation for the work location.
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

Physical Demands

• Ability to remain stationary for extended periods (e.g., working at a desk, standing on sidelines).
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, and travel around the location.
• Communicate verbally and in writing, and use fine motor skills.
• Close-range, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Lift and move up to 100 pounds, including assisting with moving, lifting, and supporting athletes.

Work Environment

• Work completed in controlled indoor environments and outdoors with exposure to various weather elements.
• Medium level of work-related stress due to responsibility for minimizing injury risk and responding to medical emergencies.
• Some weekend and after-business-hours work required.

Pay

Full-time salaried position with a range of USD $52,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year. Additional pay such as incentives, GAP, overtime, and stipends may apply based on program rules and location. Individual base pay depends on role complexity, job duties, relevant experience, and skills.
