About the role
The Athletic Trainer provides immediate assessment, care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries; counsels athletes, coaches, and parents in various health-related areas; and provides preventative advice on athletic trauma or conditions that adversely affect health or performance of the athlete. This role represents Rainy Lake Medical Center in a positive and professional manner while providing athletic trainer coverage for local or regional high school and college athletic programs as determined appropriate by RLMC.
Responsibilities
- Assess, care for, and rehabilitate athletic injuries
- Counsel athletes, coaches, and parents on health-related topics
- Provide preventative advice on athletic trauma or conditions affecting athlete health or performance
- Represent Rainy Lake Medical Center professionally while covering local or regional high school and college athletic programs
Requirements
- Maintain current MN Athletic Trainer License
- Maintain current certification and continuing education requirements as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification
- BCLS certification (or ability to become certified)
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in athletic training
- 1 or 2 years of experience in an athletic training setting (preferred)

Pay
$45,760 - $68,640 annually
