ATHLETIC DIRECTOR/ HEAD FOOTBALL COACH

About the role

Balmorhea ISD seeks a Head Football Coach / Athletic Director to lead 7th - 12th grade athletics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of football program including coaching, recruiting, and fundraising.
• Manage athletic department operations, including scheduling, equipment management, and facilities maintenance.
• Develop and implement long-term athletic development plans for student-athletes.
• Collaborate with other school staff to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Represent the district at community events and promote school spirit.

Requirements

• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assignment.
• Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching high school football at the 7th - 12th grade level.
• Previous administrative experience in athletics preferred.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Skills

• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and community members.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
