Athletic Director/ Head Football Coach

About the role

The Athletic Director/Head Football Coach position at Benjamin ISD includes district housing, full employee insurance coverage, and a $10,000 life insurance policy. The district operates on a 4-day school week with newly constructed and renovated facilities, a new activity bus, small class sizes, and a supportive community.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all athletic programs and activities
• Manage the football program including coaching, recruiting, and game scheduling
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Work closely with the district administration to develop and implement athletic policies and procedures
• Collaborate with the district’s physical education teachers to ensure student development in athletics
• Manage the budget for athletic programs
• Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and community partners
• Support the district’s mission and vision in athletics

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physical Education, Coaching, or related field
• Proven success as a high school coach, preferably in football
• Experience in managing budgets and overseeing athletic programs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people
• Valid Texas teaching certificate
• Current First Aid/CPR certification
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
