Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, determining their needs, recommending products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge in all selling areas and lead product knowledge training for other associates.
- Consistently meet or exceed personal sales goals while delivering a high-quality customer experience.
- Manage inventory by running and analyzing Internal Flash Reports.
- Maintain organized backstock and ensure merchandise is properly displayed and replenished on the sales floor.
- Ensure products are accurately displayed with correct price tagging, sales stickers, and signage.
- Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and team-oriented atmosphere.
- Communicate professionally with associates, Scheels Campus, and vendors/sales representatives.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Perform basic math operations, including calculations involving currency, measurements, and percentages.
- Attend product knowledge meetings as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work assigned schedule, including varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be flexible to work between 9:00 AM–9:00 PM Monday through Saturday and 10:00 AM–6:00 PM Sunday.
- Average of 41 hours per week, with a set day off during the week, up to 2 set nights to close, and every other weekend rotation.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Follow all safety procedures to minimize the risk of injury.
Pay
Compensation for this position is a combination of hourly pay plus commission, starting at $42,000 per year.
