AthenaHealth Integration Engineer
About the role
Matter Health is seeking a hands-on, technically skilled Athena Developer & Integration Analyst to join our Information Technology team. This individual contributor role will own the development, extension, and integration of our EHR ecosystem, serving as the organization's go-to technical resource on the athenaOne API suite, custom endpoint development, and platform-level configuration. Our value-based care model depends on a deeply extended, tightly integrated athenaOne platform to support our field-based clinical teams. You will build against athenahealth's 800+ endpoint API surface, architect integrations, and extend what athenaOne can do for our care teams—while also evaluating and introducing AI and agentic tooling that can reduce documentation burden and surface clinical insight for the people doing the work. This is primarily a software engineering role: writing code against athenahealth's APIs, designing integrations, and extending platform capabilities. Platform administration and configuration are a critical but secondary function, providing senior-level expertise in support of existing administrative capability. This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer. This is a fully remote role with up to 10% travel for occasional in-person meetings or team offsites.
