MAX Consulting Group, Inc. actively supports career opportunities for individuals holding dependent visas such as E and L spouse visas. With decades of experience, we connect candidates with employers including special administrative agencies, Japanese firms, and U.S. companies. We offer both temporary and full-time positions, leveraging our long-standing network in the New York area to match candidates with roles that align with their experience and career goals.

About the role

We assist individuals on dependent visas (E/L spouse visas) in finding employment opportunities in the U.S. without requiring a separate work permit, following recent regulatory changes. Our services include:

  • Access to temporary and full-time positions in New York and New Jersey
  • Personalized career support tailored to your background and aspirations
  • Opportunities to leverage bilingual (English/Japanese) skills in professional settings

Requirements

To qualify for employment under this program, you must:

  • Hold a valid E or L spouse visa (E-1S, E-2S, E-3S, or L-2S status as reflected on your I-94 Form)
  • Have an unexpired Form I-94 with the correct Class of Admission (COA) code (e.g., E-1S, E-2S, E-3S, or L-2S). If your I-94 lacks the "S" designation, you may need to contact U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) or USCIS for correction.
  • For those issued an I-94 before January 30, 2022, a USCIS notice (mailed beginning April 1, 2022) combined with your I-94 serves as proof of work authorization.

If your I-94 does not reflect the correct COA code, you can:

  • Email USCIS at E-L-married-U21@uscis.dhs.gov (response times may vary)
  • Contact a CBP Deferred Inspection Site by phone to request a correction (e.g., for New York: (718) 553-3683 or (718) 553-3684)
