About the role
Join CohnReznick’s Community Development Audit Practice as a Senior Associate. You’ll lead audit engagements, mentor junior staff, and deliver exceptional client service while contributing to firm growth and operational excellence. This position is hybrid, with team members encouraged to be in the office on average 3 days a week for in-person collaboration.
Your team
This position supports the Community Development Group, one of the country's largest real estate advisory firms. You’ll work with clients driving community development, addressing inequities, and advancing industry-leading technologies and processes. The team includes Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners, all focused on delivering value to clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple audit projects and monitor success metrics.
- Communicate effectively with clients, leadership, and global team members.
- Ensure compliance with firm standards and promote security awareness.
- Apply advanced technical knowledge and stay current with industry trends.
- Deliver high-quality work and oversee risk management.
- Mentor junior staff and support their development.
- Identify business opportunities and support cross-selling efforts.
- Model world-class client service and executive presence.
- Engage in firm initiatives and promote a culture of inclusion and agility.
- Apply advanced Excel proficiency to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
- CPA or CPA eligibility.
- 3+ years of assurance experience; experience with Community Development Financial Institutions (“CDFIs”), New Markets Tax Credits (“NMTCs”), or real estate is a plus.
- Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead engagements and develop others.
- Knowledge of audit software (CCH Engagement or Inflo) is a plus but not required.

Pay
In Maryland, the salary range for an Assurance Senior Associate is $80,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and location. Salary is one component of the total rewards package, which also includes a discretionary performance bonus.
