About the role

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm with most professionals located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid, with team members expected to be thoughtful and intentional in creating opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple audit projects and monitor success metrics.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, leadership, and global team members.
  • Ensure compliance with firm standards and promote security awareness.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge and stay current with industry trends.
  • Deliver high-quality work and oversee risk management.
  • Mentor junior staff and support their development.
  • Identify business opportunities and support cross-selling efforts.
  • Model world-class client service and executive presence.
  • Engage in firm initiatives and promote a culture of inclusion and agility.
  • Apply advanced Excel proficiency to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • CPA or CPA eligibility.
  • 3+ years of assurance experience, experience with Community Development Financial Institutions (“CDFIs”), New Markets Tax Credits (“NMTCs”) or real estate is a plus.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead engagements and develop others.
  • Knowledge of audit software CCH Engagement or Inflo is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of assurance experience.

Skills

  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Technical, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Industry knowledge, particularly in Community Development Financial Institutions (“CDFIs”), New Markets Tax Credits (“NMTCs”), and real estate.

Benefits

In Maryland, the salary range for an Assurance Senior Associate is $80,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and applicable employment laws.
