This position is hybrid, requiring team members to be in the office on average 3 days a week for in-person collaboration, with the cadence determined at the team level.

This role supports the Affordable Housing Group, one of the country's largest real estate advisory firms. The team focuses on community development, addressing inequities, and leveraging market-leading technologies to serve clients and communities. You will work alongside Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners who are passionate about delivering value.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts
  • Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables
  • Develop detailed engagement work plans, budgets, and schedules
  • Actively participate in proposals
  • Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, while providing regular performance coaching and feedback

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting required
  • CPA designation or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam(s)
  • 3+ years of experience in a public accounting firm
  • Knowledge of audit software (ProSystem Fx is a plus)
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation skills (verbal and written)

Pay

In Illinois, the salary range for this role is $85,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and may include a discretionary performance bonus.
