Assurance Manager [Affordable Housing]
About the role
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

You will work on a team with other Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. This team has a passion for what they do and a focus on consistently delivering value to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the engagement lead for assigned client accounts, building trusted relationships and delivering World Class Client Service through effective coordination of U.S.-based and global team members to meet client objectives.
- Lead all phases of engagement execution, including planning, staffing, risk management, review, and delivery of high-quality client deliverables, while leveraging both U.S. and global resources to drive efficient and effective outcomes.
- Oversee engagement budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and key performance metrics, ensuring optimal utilization of U.S. and global team resources while maintaining operational excellence and profitability.
- Lead and mentor engagement teams, including U.S.-based professionals and global delivery team members, by providing ongoing coaching, performance feedback, technical guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment that promotes knowledge sharing, accountability, and strong working relationships across multiple locations and cultures.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, quality standards, and professional requirements by maintaining effective review processes, monitoring engagement risks, and promoting operational excellence across all team members.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand client relationships through cross-selling, networking, proposal development, and collaboration with colleagues across service lines and geographies.
- Utilize technology, standardized processes, and global delivery capabilities to improve productivity, enhance service delivery, and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the growth and success of the firm through active participation in strategic initiatives, talent development, business development efforts, and the effective integration of U.S. and global resources.
Your Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting required
- CPA designation is required
- 5+ years of assurance experience, preferably in affordable housing or real estate
- Strong organizational, technical, analytical, and communication skills
- Knowledge of audit software Caseware a plus

Pay
In Maryland, the salary range for an Assurance Manager is $110,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
