Essential Functions

  • Manage project finances to protect company interests and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Handle Change Management processes including validation, submission, negotiation, and maintaining change order logs.
  • Cook up project billings, requisitions, and payables to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Track and log scheduled project activities for effective project management.
  • Implement monthly updates and become proficient in Oracle scheduling software.
  • Cook up timely submission and approval of Required on Job materials with Project Manager and Superintendent.
  • Prepare, process, and distribute RFIs, logs, and Submittals throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Generate and submit project reports such as Owner Monthly Reports and Bi-weekly internal reports.
  • Obtain necessary permits, documents, inspections, and compliance certificates.
  • Manage project closeout activities and ensure timely coordination of as-built and warranty packages.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university plus 3 to 5 years related experience; or five to seven years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in various software including MS Office, scheduling, and construction management programs.

Day in the Life

A day in life of an Assistant Project Manager, my day is all about supporting the financial side of things—managing change orders, keeping track of billing, and ensuring the schedule stays on point. I help with documentation, like RFIs and submittals, and assist in preparing reports for both the team and external agencies. I also make sure we stay on top of permits, inspections, and safety standards, and I play a key role in the project closeout by coordinating as-built and warranty packages.

Pay

$75,000 – $100,000 Compensation may vary based on factors such as experience and qualifications. Ranges and rates may take into consideration benefits, bonus, and other factors. Please reach out to our human resources director for additional information.

Schedule

Full Time, Exempt: Monday – Friday 8-5pm (Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand)
