About the role
Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an Associate Fire Alarm Inspector to support inspection and maintenance efforts. This role involves working closely with the sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure compliance with codes and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Aid in reviewing system layouts and coordinating with systems and service departments for successful testing and inspection.
- Assist with testing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
- Deliver testing on schedule and within cost budgets.
- Log and transmit inspection reports using technical devices.
- Work under tight deadlines while adhering to industry standards and company policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Interest in learning and growing in the fire-life safety industry.
- Knowledge of NFPA code requirements.
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards and ability to obtain OSHA 10 certifications.
- Good organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds, climbing ladders, and standing/walking for most of the workday.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.
- Pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
