Asst Director Patient Care Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Step Down Full Time Nights

About the role

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Patient Care to join our dedicated team in the Nursing B6 Step Down department. This full-time night shift position offers a competitive salary range of $124,414.76 - $159,263.78 per year.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in overseeing all clinical operations in the unit
• Manage day-to-day clinical operations through oversight of clinical staff and quality improvement
• Plan, implement, and evaluate operations of the Department
• Ensure compliance with patient care quality standards and regulatory governing bodies
• Initiate programs to improve organizational performance
• Deliver age-appropriate nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and plans
• Participate in nursing quality assurance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• New Jersey RN License
• Certified Cardiac or Telemetry experience required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• 1-3 years of relevant clinical practice experience
• Master’s degree in nursing preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant management/leadership experience
• Relevant certification (Med./Surg - Telemetry) preferred
• Goal and outcome-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
