Responsibilities
- Oversees all aspects of pay cycle processing and provides additional support when needed
- Manages the tax reporting and filings; oversees the 1099 process including keeping abreast of changes to tax regulations and standards to ensure compliance
- Oversees Vendor Master file Maintenance functions including MediTract in conjunction with general counsel
- Directly supervises a segment of the AP staff
- Assists with projects as necessary
- Establishes internal controls and procedures to protect the assets of the company and determines new controls or procedures that address the growth of the company and processes handled by the department
Requirements
- 4-year Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or relevant work experience
- 7+ years of experience in accounts payable
- 5+ years of experience in staff supervision
- 1+ years experience managing/administering a procurement and/or travel card program
- Proven Lawson ERP experience
- Proven track record of AP metric development
- Professional certification required or attained within one year of hire; preferably Accredited Payables Manager (APM) designation granted by The Accounts Payables Network and IOMA
Skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret accounts payable data
- In-depth understanding of Supply Chain and Accounting functions
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Acute attention to detail and thorough documentation skills
- Experience with computerized AP system
- Ability to organize and prioritize
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to deal effectively in a rapidly changing organization
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills with a proactive management style to implement new processes
- Ability to operate various word processing software, spreadsheets, and database programs
- Experience processing Accounts Payable for a healthcare provider preferred but not required
- Experience working with entry from a document imaging system preferred but not required
Pay
USD $120,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 per year. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. The salary range does not include bonuses, incentives, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable.
