Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Outpatient Services is responsible for assisting the Director of Outpatient in the overall operational administration of the department. This position reports to and assists the Director in the daily operations oversight of the department. The Assistant Director is well versed in performance and operations management and competent in assuming delegated duties. This position is a leader and critical thinker, ready to solve problems before they become obstacles. This position requires outstanding communication, excellent organizational and leadership skills, and a strong aptitude in problem-solving. The goal is to help the department attain objectives of providing the highest quality of patient care and employee satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's Degree specializing in a clinical related mental health area, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Actively working towards a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, or appropriate clinical field equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years' experience in the psychiatric/mental health field; experience in clinical/management practice preferred.
• A thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, Medicare, OSHA regulations, and all other State and federal regulatory standards.
• Successful completion of Handle With Care Training within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with restraining procedures.
• Must have and maintain current CPR Certification.
• May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
