Position Description

Tuttle University Department of Surgery is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible surgical oncologist for an open-rank faculty position with clinical, research, and teaching responsibilities. The successful candidate will have a primary clinical focus in endocrine, breast, and soft tissue surgery, contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care. The division of surgical oncology at TTUHSC is expanding due to higher volumes and you have an opportunity to be a part of that growth. You will join a group of cancer subspecialists including CGSO, hepatobiliary, breast, and colorectal-trained surgeons.

Major/Essential Functions

- Provide high-quality, patient-centered surgical care in endocrine, breast, and soft tissue oncology.
- Participate actively in the multidisciplinary management of complex cancer cases.
- Participate in departmental and institutional service activities.
- Engage in academic research, with opportunities for basic, translational, or clinical research.
- Contribute to medical student, resident, and fellow education and mentorship.

Required Qualifications

  • MD/DO/MBBS/MBBCh.
  • Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3.
  • ABMS Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery.
  • Completion of, or in the process of completing, a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology, Endocrine Surgery or relevant subspecialty.
