Asst/Assoc/Professor - Residency Program Leadership, Family Medicine

About the role

Tuttle Medical Center Permian Basin Family Medicine is seeking a physician to assist the Program Director in overseeing program administration, ensuring compliance with ACGME requirements, and championing efforts to advance rural medicine training.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the curriculum development and implementation, in compliance with educational goals and accreditation standards;
• Participates in the recruitment and selection processes for new residents;
• Evaluates resident performance, provide feedback and offer guidance to residents;
• Provides direct teaching to the residents, including inpatient and outpatient rotations;
• Assesses patients through health histories, presenting illness and physical examination;
• Orders laboratory, diagnostic and screening tests;
• Develops and implements treatment plans including medications;
• Educates patients on medications, treatments, wellness and disease management;
• Collaborates with subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams;
• Prepares and completes timely and accurate documentation for medical records;
• Participates in quality improvement, continuing education and patient care programs established by the department, clinic and/or hospital.

Requirements

• MD, DO, MBBS or MBBCh;
• Completion of USMLE Step 3;
• Completion of, or in the process of completing, an ACGME Family Medicine Residency;
• Current Board Certification, or ABMS Board Eligibility with intent to complete certification in the next year, by the American Board of Family Medicine;
• Must hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Texas.

Pay
