Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, monitoring, and direct clinical supervision to pre-doctoral students.
- Become familiar with and adopt the prevention and treatment philosophies of the department in areas such as operative dentistry, prosthodontics, preliminary endodontic procedures, and basic exodontia.
- Aid in special needs, urgent, and emergency care, and manage patient care in Graduate General Practice Residency clinics.
- Promote comprehensive patient care, serve as a clinical mentor, and model high standards of professionalism in oral health care.
- Provide direct patient care, especially in cases where students cannot achieve an acceptable result or when treatment needs to be expedited.
- Participate in training and calibration programs and provide student clinical assessments.
Requirements
Qualified applicants must have a DMD/DDS degree from a US or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation or a comparable foreign degree. Applicants must hold a valid dental license in some state or jurisdiction and be eligible for a regular license or faculty license in the State of Wisconsin.
