Associate VP-Assistant General Patent Counsel IP Transactions

Responsibilities

• Lead IP legal support for manufacturing and supply chain transactions
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements involving scientific and IP-related provisions
• Conduct comprehensive IP due diligence including freedom-to-operate and patentability analyses
• Advise deal teams on agreements like licenses, mergers, and research collaborations
• Facilitate integration of contracts post-execution and advise cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. institution
• 7+ years of patent attorney experience focusing on transactions
• Strong experience in IP due diligence for pharmaceuticals/biotech
• Must be admitted to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction and licensed to represent clients before the USPTO
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field related to pharmaceutical products

Pay

$229,500 – $371,800 annually
