Key Responsibilities
- Lead highly complex and significantly impactful patent enforcement initiatives.
- Develop and execute litigation strategy across various jurisdictions, with a focus on the United States and Europe.
- Represent GSK at meetings, hearings, and trials.
- Effectively manage numerous competing priorities and perform at a high level in a continually changing global legal, regulatory, and scientific environment.
- Interface with company at all levels, including General Counsel and other senior business and legal employees.
- Communicate effectively and build teamwork among company employees involved in enforcement and defense of critical GSK intellectual property, including driving key learnings back into the department.
- Work very closely with external counsel and internal stakeholders to develop and drive overall litigation strategy, including worldwide litigation strategies, ensure compliance with company policies, and drive cost savings.
- Demonstrate capacity for innovation in providing unique and creative solutions to complex legal issues.
- Drive AI solutions to deliver AI initiatives, including those related to litigation management and outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
- Qualified U.S. attorney, JD degree required.
- 8+ years of significant experience with complex patent litigation in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industries.
- Major U.S. law firm and/or large corporate litigation department experience.
- Demonstrated experience with international IP litigations.
