Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end self-healing automation solutions to reduce manual effort.
- Lead Automation SRE teams, providing technical direction regarding monitoring and logging.
- Develop highly complex original solutions and act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts.
- Create and modify technical documentation, including environment flow, functional requirements, and nonfunctional requirements.
- Provide technical operations application support experience, focusing on reducing toil issues and enhancing system reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with production support teams to identify and automate existing manual activities.
- Build monitoring systems and observability platforms to improve stack traces, dashboards, and SLA, SLO, and SLI definitions and implementations.
- Focus on scalability, reliability, and observability to reduce Mean Time To Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).
Requirements
- Advanced working experience with Unix/Linux, Windows Server, Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB.
- Experience with Python, Java, Curl scripting, or other types of scripting.
- Experience with observability tools such as AppDynamics, Big Panda, Elastic Search (ELK), Google Cloud Logging, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Thousand Eyes.
- Experience with logging, monitoring, and event detection on cloud or distributed platforms.
- Experience with AutoSys, CRON, Windows Scheduler, or other logical batch schedulers.
