About the role
The Associate Vice President (AVP) reports to the Vice President for Advancement & CEO BC Foundation. The AVP leads the development team, which includes the annual fund, major gifts program, corporation/foundation, and alumni engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development team, including annual fund, major gifts program, corporation/foundation, and alumni engagement.
- Work closely with advancement colleagues, senior college administrators, faculty members, Broward College Foundation board directors, alumni volunteer leaders, high net worth individuals, and key business and civic leaders.
- Implement a broad-based fundraising plan.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Master's Degree preferred. CFRE preferred.
- Minimum Experience/Training: Ten years of experience in fundraising, including over five years in management, preferably in higher education.
- Success in major gifts fundraising and prospect management.
- Success in alumni relations and engagement.
- Success in supervisory and team leadership.
