Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations of animals to diagnose health issues accurately using veterinary terminology and clinical ethical guidelines.
• Perform soft tissue and dental surgical procedures, manage anesthesia, access to orthopedic instruments and mentorship if requested.
• Develop treatment plans and apply medical interventions for animals during sick visits & if needed, emergency care.
• Up to date on wellness care standards and current recommendations for preventative care in companion animals.
• Provide internal medicine treatment plans for conditions such as oncology, cardiology, and other veterinary internal medicine cases.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners and team members regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventive care, emphasizing client communication skills.
• Maintain detailed medical records, laboratory results, and treatment documentation while adhering to hospital policies on animal husbandry and animal care standards.

Requirements

• Veterinary degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience in a veterinary setting preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
