Venue Planning & Development

Collaborate with internal functional areas (FAs) to support the development of venue design
Support the maintenance of project plans for venue design and infrastructure development to align with overall Games timelines

Operational Coordination

Support the integration of cross-functional requirements (e.g., ticketing, hospitality, security, sport) into venue design processes
Assist in preparing materials and coordinating venue-specific workshops with internal and external stakeholders
Track action items, deliverables, and follow-ups to support timely project execution

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with key FAs, including Event Management, Operational Departments, and Sport, to ensure cohesive planning and delivery of venue infrastructure
Support problem-solving efforts related to venue planning and execution
Manage functional area requests and outputs across the Venue Development team
Support reporting processes, including preparation of presentations, updates, and documentation for leadership and stakeholders

Background & Requirements

  • Minimum 2+years of relevant experience.
    Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Sports Management, Construction Management, Event Management, or related field or equivalent work experience
    Familiarity with sports and major event planning preferred.
    Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools advantageous.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
    Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

General support to the Venue Development team

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

  • The position is in Los Angeles with in-person attendance required.
    The LA28 office is an open-plan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
    The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
    Willingness to work extended hours during critical build milestones and Games-time preparations
    Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and event days
    Ability to stand, walk, and work on-site for extended periods

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $30.29 - $40.00.
All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
