About the role
NYRA is seeking an experienced and highly effective Parking and Transportation professional to support the organization’s Parking and Transportation functions.
Responsibilities
- Execute key operational tasks within the Parking & Transportation team, following established best practices to uphold organizational safety and service standards.
- Independently oversee parking, traffic flow, and transportation logistics during assigned shifts, ensuring a safe, efficient, and guest-focused arrival and departure experience.
- Address routine guest concerns related to parking, shuttles, and transportation access, escalating more complex operational issues to senior leadership when necessary.
- Assist in reconciling daily parking activity, shuttle logs, staffing reports, and operational checklists, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with Security, Guest Services, and Operations to coordinate crowd flow strategies, special event parking plans, and communicate transportation updates to guests.
- Provide feedback on operational efficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance traffic management, guest navigation, and overall parking and transportation effectiveness.
- Coach and support junior team members on operational procedures, safety protocols, and best in class service techniques to maintain a consistent standard of excellence.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in parking operations, transportation logistics, facility operations, traffic management, or a similar front line supervisory role.
- Proven ability to lead on-site teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of parking systems, traffic flow principles, and guest movement logistics, especially during high volume events.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to real-time operational challenges.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues appropriately.
- Ability to interpret and assign schedules, activity logs, and operational reports, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfort working outdoors, standing for extended periods, and navigating the property during all weather conditions.
- Proficiency with basic technology and operational tools, including handheld devices, radio communication, and incident reporting systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate transportation vehicles or carts as required.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and special events based on operational needs.
