About the role
A multi-year Sales Development program designed to train alongside successful Territory Managers within the Surgical Business Team. The Associate Territory Manager will collaborate with Territory Manager(s) who engage surgeons and clinical professionals in operating rooms and office settings.
Responsibilities
- Reach specific product or account goals as determined with the Territory Manager.
- Achieve milestones and competencies outlined in the ATM Training & Development Program.
- Call upon customers in hospital and office settings.
- Provide training and in-servicing in the operating room during procedures to physicians, staff, and other personnel.
- Follow up with customers during pre- and post-sales efforts to maintain strong customer-company relationships.
- Deliver and pick up products as needed.
- Develop and utilize sales presentation skills to sell company products in an assigned territory via consultative selling.
- Become proficient in creative selling programs offered by the company to meet sales targets.
- Acquire, maintain, and expand knowledge of company products, competitive landscape, and market to meet customer needs.
- Act professionally when representing the company.
- Complete and maintain sales paperwork and records accurately and submit in a timely manner.
- Perform other job-related objectives and special assignments in partnership with the Territory Manager.
- All other essential duties as directed.
Requirements
- Proven track record of success.
- Ability to relocate after program completion and desire to grow career within the Surgical Business organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized with strong time management skills.
- High-energy, reliable, and positive work ethic.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment over 40 lbs.
- Establish, develop, or maintain field contact with key customers, clinicians, researchers, and other decision-makers in assigned accounts, including travel to customer facilities and onsite support.
- Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time, including extensive regional and long-distance travel.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
- Frequent overnight travel required; ability to provide support at customer locations as business needs dictate.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Adherence to all customer and vendor credentialing requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Sales experience (1-3 years a plus, but not required).
- Clinical, pharmaceutical, or medical device experience desired.
