Associate Territory Manager - Sacramento, CA

About the role

Located in the Sacramento, CA area, this 18‑month Associate Territory Manager program is a full‑time sales development role designed to increase your sales skills and exposure to CertainTeed. You will spend time in the field, receive hands‑on learning, and have full access to EPS leaders for networking opportunities that accelerate career development. The program requires participation in trainings and travel opportunities, and you will support CertainTeed businesses by building strong relationships and portfolios of loyal customers through the development of new and existing customers, proactively promoting CertainTeed products, systems, and programs, gaining a knowledge base of all CertainTeed offerings, and collaborating with managers and sales teams to ensure customer requirements are met. Upon successful completion, you will work with HR, the Sales Training Manager, and Sales Leadership to explore Territory Manager or other roles within one of CertainTeed’s 12 U.S. sales regions or Saint‑Gobain; if another role is not found, you may qualify for a completion bonus. Travel is required throughout the sales region, and relocation may be required for future Territory Manager positions.

Responsibilities

• Establish contact and coordinate activities with distributors, installation contractors, builders, architects, and specifiers.
• Assist the Regional/District Sales Manager and Territory Managers in meeting sales goals.
• Familiarize the remodeling and new construction community with CertainTeed products and services.
• Serve as a resource of information for sales, marketing, and manufacturing on product needs, development, and application.
• Travel throughout the sales region with multiple Territory Managers, attend distributor and contractor events, and assist with trade shows.
• Participate in trainings to grow sales expertise, product knowledge, and negotiating skills.
• Receive hands‑on product installation training at a CertainTeed development center.
• Navigate large and diverse business units alongside a dedicated mentor who shares knowledge and advice essential to success and career development.
• Use a company‑provided vehicle (employer‑paid maintenance, insurance, and fuel) authorized for both business and personal use.
