Job Responsibilities
- Work with talent agents, representatives and business affairs departments
- General knowledge of SAG-AFTRA and AFM Commercial Contracts
- General knowledge of talent payment process
- Initiate session and talent re-use estimates
- Work closely with Account Management and Producers
- Work closely with talent payroll company to ensure performers are paid correctly
- Assist in SAG-AFTRA, Plans and Client audits pertaining to talent
- Assist in re-negotiations of all talent and deal memos
- Assist in SAG-AFTRA and nonunion contracts
- Assist in talent, celebrity and music rights negotiations
- Assist in licensing and clearance needs
- Assist in resolution of payment issues and claims as they arise
- Assist in Final Cast Lists
- Responsible for talent payments
- Work with Finance regarding talent invoices/issues
- Perform other talent business affairs duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working with commercial agreements and contract negotiation
- 2+ years prior experience working with advertising agencies
- Experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Extremely detail orientated, strong ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, problem solving skills and follow through capabilities
- Experience with computers and navigating various programs simultaneously
- Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint
- Negotiating skills
- Team player with a CAN-DO attitude
Pay
The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $35,000 to $75,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
