ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aid in the support of infrastructure systems including networking, servers, hardware, and software, both on-premise and in the cloud.
- Proactively maintain infrastructure systems to ensure maximum uptime.
- Actively monitor systems for performance bottlenecks and resolve issues.
- Maintain security by monitoring, scanning, and testing systems for vulnerabilities and resolving them.
- Support the administration of user directories and policies.
- Support the infrastructure of products managed by VRA Product Teams.
- Research, test, and install software updates.
- Create and maintain documentation for implemented solutions.
- Configure systems to adhere to SOX, PCI, and other applicable compliance initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop and implement solutions that drive value for the organization.
- On-call as needed to provide technical support to off-shifts.
Education And/Or Experience
- Associates/Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of server administration experience and supporting enterprise applications.
- Current certifications in cloud computing, modern infrastructure, or similar desired.
- Experience administering or supporting: Microsoft Exchange email environments, Microsoft 365 services and workloads, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments, physical server hardware, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Active Directory user and group administration.
- Group Policy configuration and management.
- Print server administration and print queue management.
- Experience working within a helpdesk or ticketing system environment.
- Fundamental understanding of core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Server platform administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a customer-focused support approach.
- Prominent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills with consistent follow-through.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers, handling situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and within a fast-paced office environment.

Recommended Starting Wage
$65,000 - $70,000
ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Flexibility to provide after hours support (on call) and to occasionally work 2nd and 3rd shifts as well as weekends.
- Office environment. Utilizing an office desk – sitting, reading, listening, or speaking with the ability to move intermittently throughout the day.
- Strong sensory skills, such as good eyesight, good hearing, and dexterity.
- Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, copiers, fax machines, and phones.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds (PC/server setup and installation).
