About the role

The Associate Staff Scientist position is dedicated to researching blinding diseases affecting children. This role will contribute to cutting-edge research projects aimed at improving outcomes for pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory experiments and analyze data related to blinding diseases in children
  • Collaborate with other scientists and clinicians to develop new treatments and diagnostic tools
  • Present findings at scientific conferences and publish research in peer-reviewed journals
  • Train and mentor junior researchers and students

Requirements

  • A PhD in a relevant field such as biology, genetics, or biochemistry
  • Experience in laboratory research and data analysis
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of postdoctoral research experience
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals
  • Knowledge of genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying ocular diseases

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
