About the role
The Associate Staff Scientist position is dedicated to researching blinding diseases affecting children. This role will contribute to cutting-edge research projects aimed at improving outcomes for pediatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory experiments and analyze data related to blinding diseases in children
- Collaborate with other scientists and clinicians to develop new treatments and diagnostic tools
- Present findings at scientific conferences and publish research in peer-reviewed journals
- Train and mentor junior researchers and students
Requirements
- A PhD in a relevant field such as biology, genetics, or biochemistry
- Experience in laboratory research and data analysis
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of postdoctoral research experience
- Publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Knowledge of genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying ocular diseases
Skills
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques
- Experience with statistical software
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
