About the role
The Senior Associate, Content Operations role at Lilly is crucial for ensuring the implementation of a brand's content strategy with quality, speed, value, and compliance across the content supply chain. This role involves partnering with brands, both internal and external, to manage projects and timelines, ensuring timely and successful delivery of projects according to marketing needs and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Partner with brands to implement brand content strategy with quality, speed, value, and compliance.
- Support achievement of brand goals through creative problem-solving and process optimization.
- Supervise projects for assigned brands, defining, overseeing, and maintaining timelines.
- Review timelines and capacity constraints for brands, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Ensure thorough checking of work between content supply chain systems and handoffs.
- Ensure data accuracy and track progress across content supply chain systems.
- Train and upskill cross-functional teammates on content supply chain systems, workflows, and tasks.
- Participate in the deviation process, log deviations, and pass them on to the internal quality process department for investigation.
- Use system tools to optimize team capacity, velocity, and throughput, coordinating with cross-functional peers to address resource constraints.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of experience working on projects supporting a regulated industry (e.g., pharma)
- 2+ years of experience with capacity and project management systems (e.g., Wrike/Workfront/Jira)
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of content/project/tactic types, associated requirements, brand archetypes, and content supply chain.
- Technical understanding of existing tools, their tasks, workflows, interdependencies, and systems.
- Knowledge of Lilly’s compliance standards and quality requirements (e.g., CIQ, MLRO processes, AI technologies, content standards, FDA, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of unique requirements and considerations associated with supported brands, their channel mix, and content strategy.
- Effective connections with peers at engaged agencies, vendors, and internal capabilities across the content supply chain.
- Team-first approach, growth perspective, proven willingness and ability to ingest feedback, reflect, and learn.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Validated planning and organizational skills.
- Confirmed ability to handle multiple projects at a time.
- Record to influence, collaborate, and work effectively on a team.
- Ability to understand, implement, and guide technical knowledge across technologies, systems, and workflows.
- Ability to anticipate and resolve problems across systems and workflows.
- Establish key relationships with cross-functional business areas.
- Validated ability to instruct cross-functional partners on tasks, systems, and workflows.
- Experience in Marketing Operations, supporting Marketing Operations or a comparable role.
- Certification in Project Management.
- Experience with project management techniques and software (e.g. Workfront, Wrike, Scope Deliver, Jira, Workamajig, Asana, Trello).
- Experience with promotional approval systems (e.g. Veeva Vault Promo Mats, iMarketing).
- Demonstrated passion and the ability to work to meet deadlines.
- Skilled at analysis, judgment, and decision-making, with an eye toward quality and continuous improvement.
