The Opportunity
This position pays between $17.00 - $18.15/hr based on experience. This position is an onsite role and candidates must be able to work on-site at Mercy - Marcum and Wallace Hospital in Irvine, KY.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital.
- Complete medical necessity / compliance checks, provide patient instructions, collect insurance information, receive and process physician orders, and utilize a overlay tool while providing excellent customer service.
- Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls.
- Assign accurate MRNs, provide patient education documents, review eligibility responses, and distribute other forms and pamphlets.
- Audit accounts and ensure accuracy, screen medical necessity using ABN software, and document forms.
- Pre-register patient accounts, collect point of service collections, and manage past due balances.
- Explain general consent forms, obtain necessary signatures, and witness names.
Experience
- 1+ years of customer service experience.
- Inquisitive and open to innovation, including AI, to explore better processes and improve patient and client experiences.
Required Education
- A High School Diploma/GED.

- CRCR
