About the role
The Associate Specialist, AR position at XPO is responsible for conducting audit and advisory engagements, performing SOX testing, and providing consulting and advisory support to help management improve business efficiency and achieve strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct audit and advisory engagements from beginning to end by planning, executing, and reporting on operational and compliance reviews across multiple business functions.
- Perform SOX testing of key entity level, business process and automated controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Collaborate with management on special projects and process improvement initiatives to strengthen controls, enhance efficiency, and mitigate business risks.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships across the organization by developing a deep understanding of the company’s strategic initiatives and strengthening the Internal Audit brand as a strategic, consultative partner.
- Leverage data analysis tools and techniques to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for automation or process optimization within audit activities.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Solid attention to detail, goal-oriented, and able to build strong relationships with customers and other departments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of collections or customer service experience
- Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills (v-lookup and pivot tables)
- Previous collections software experience (HighRadius or GetPaid preferred)
- Mainframe or ERP (Oracle preferred) experience
- Able to read, translate, and understand contractual agreements
- Experience pulling, manipulating, and analyzing large amounts of data
Preferred qualifications
