Associate/Senior Associate - Electrical Engineer

About the role

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a candidate to provide electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater facility projects. Candidate will serve as the lead electrical engineer on projects for water and wastewater facilities. Fill the role of Project Manager for selected Electrical projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of less experienced staff working on projects
• Interaction with clients and engineers from other disciplines
• Serve as a technical mentor for less experienced staff in local offices
• Engage in Business Development activities such as proposal preparation and fee/scope development

Qualifications

• Over 12 years of experience in electrical engineering and design in water/wastewater or other heavy industrial industry
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineering License
• Prior project leadership experience required; Leadership experience in major projects is desired
• Knowledge in industrial power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, generator design, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout and related activities
• Good working knowledge of the NEC and related Codes
• Good communication skills, including interaction with clients and contractors
• AutoCAD experience is a must

Skills

• Revit BIM software desirable
• SKM and/or ETAP power systems software desirable
• Experience with instrumentation and control systems is a plus, including field and panel instruments, operator interfaces, and PLCs
• Prior engineering leadership experience is highly desirable
