About the role
Join Therapeutic Proteins - Antibody Radioconjugates Technology at Regeneron, where you'll contribute to developing life-changing medicines through innovative research. Specifically, you'll be responsible for bioconjugating antibodies with bifunctional chelates and fluorescent probes, and radiolabeling these conjugates for preclinical imaging studies.
Responsibilities
- Perform bioconjugation of antibodies with bifunctional chelating agents (DFO, DOTA, etc.) and fluorescent probes following validated protocols
- Characterize antibody bioconjugates using SE-HPLC, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, and UV/Vis spectroscopy
- Radiolabel bioconjugated antibodies with Zr-89, Cu-64, or other radionuclide isotopes; purify radiolabeled products for same-day use in time-critical imaging studies
- Run quality control testing using radio-HPLC, radio-iTLC, and gamma counting to verify tracer quality before release
- Maintain mammalian cell culture lines and perform cell-based assays to validate tracer binding and function
- Coordinate tracer preparation timelines with imaging scientists and project teams across multiple therapeutic areas
- Maintain detailed electronic laboratory notebooks and radiation safety records in compliance with regulations
- Coordinate with instrument technicians to maintain instruments, troubleshoot experimental problems, and order/maintain supplies
Requirements
- B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Biology, or a related field with 1-2 years of laboratory experience
- Hands-on experience with protein chemistry, bioconjugation, and chromatographic techniques
- Experience with chromatographic techniques (HPLC, FPLC, or column chromatography)
- Strong communication skills
Qualifications
- Self-motivated and eager to work independently after training
- Attention to detail and following established protocols with precision
- Collaborative and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Skills
