Associate Scientist – Physical Characterization

The Role

As an Associate Scientist – Physical Characterization at Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions, you will be responsible for analyzing powder and liquid samples to determine key physical properties using various techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of powder samples for particle size distribution, bulk density, true density, powder flow, and particle shape
• Analysis of liquid samples for viscosity and surface tension
• Use of techniques such as optical microscopy, laser diffraction particle size analysis, electron microscopy, shear cell testing, compaction simulation, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science-related field, or equivalent directly-related experience
• At least one year of experience in particle and powder characterization is preferred
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Proficient in learning new techniques, developing and carrying out experimental plans, and performing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience in data handling and scientific/engineering computations
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Able to keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Qualifications

Pay

USD 22.25 - USD 24.00 per hour

Schedule

M-F 8 am to 5 pm
